Can I rent out the bar for an event?

Yes, arrangements can be made with the Verdict management to reserve and/or cater sections of the bar for personal or business events or parties.  Our management team is well versed in event planning and we’d love to take part in your event.  The “entire” bar can be rented for events.  We prefer to keep “entire” bar events limited to Sundays as to not disrupt the normal course of business or our repeat patrons.  However, special arrangements can be made.

Can I have a Birthday Party at The Verdict?

Yes, absolutely, we would be more than happy to celebrate your special day with you.  We’ve become a fairly popular venue for birthdays.  Please contact the Verdict management team and make arrangements.  We can provide reserved sections, catering, special table arrangements, a signature drink, and proper staffing to accommodate you on your special day.  Aside from a cake, outside food and drinks are prohibited, but we can provide you with everything you need; even your birthday cake.

Must I be in the legal profession to patron the Verdict Bar & Grill?

No, absolutely not!  It’s only a name.  The bar and restaurant name is twofold.  One, it is the answer to the question that you ask your friends about what decision they’ve made about where to go or what to do.  “So, what’s the verdict?”  The verdict is “The Verdict.”  And, secondly, the Verdict name also comes from its physical location being across the street from the Hall of Justice or Courthouse.  Please know, that everyone is welcome in the bar and restaurant.  The bar and grill will never cater to any one crowd or group of patrons.  We have a wide variety of patrons and a friendly staff that will welcome you.

Is the Verdict a “gay” bar?

Is this really even a thing anymore?  Although rather humorous, we are unclear as to where this label came from.  And typically, we would not typically partake in trying to explain such ignorance.  But, if you must know…  The Verdict Bar & Grill is not a gay bar and restaurant and we do not cater to any one select crowd or group in particular, nor do we partake in or tolerate discrimination.  It’s a friendly bar that welcomes and accepts everyone, and as a result our patron demographic varies widely regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual preference, or gender identity.  Factually, the Verdict staff is predominately straight, but treat all patrons equally and with respect.  So, it must be the fact that there has been some “gay money” invested into the bar and restaurant.  And/or, the fact that the management and staff of the Verdict have been supportive of nonprofit LGBT organizations and have sponsored LGBT related events.  But, again we don’t discriminate; as the Verdict has also sponsored far more nonprofit events for organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Habitat for Humanity, Offutt Air Force Base, Creighton University, Nebraska Aids Project, and All About Omaha.  So, I guess to some, if having some “gay money” invested into a business and sponsoring a nonprofit event for an LGBT related organization, makes the Verdict a “gay” bar, then with that logic we’ve got many grocery stores, big box retailers, banks, gas stations, and other bars and restaurants all over this country, that must be “gay” as well.  Who knew!
